Brand Republic, the leading website for UK marketing, media and advertising professionals, is looking for a new Editor.Your primary role will be to showcase and create the best and most relevant content for the UK marketing, media and advertising sectors. This will include articles from Haymarket Brand Media's own titles though you will also have the opportunity to use content from Haymarket partners.
- Curate and aggregate the best of Haymarket Brand Media. The Editor will have responsibility for judging which content should be featured on Brand Republic, including content from external sources
- Target editorial coverage to fit the interests and needs of Brand Republics diverse readership
- Co-ordinate major online news coverage on Brand Republic. This may also include using the Brand Republic reporting resource to produce additional content such as interactive timelines, blogs, other news angles or video
- Motivate and manage the Brand Republic editorial team including recruitment interviews, formal appraisals and salary reviews where appropriate
- Edit Brand Republics daily and weekly email bulletins
- Develop new content ideas and formats
- Play a role in the development of the Brand Republic website and brand
- Monitor rivals and new online trends and ideas and adjust coverage/performance to maintain competitive edge
- Act as a figure head and voice for the Brand Republic brand
- Manage Brand Republics editorial contributors and freelance budgets
- Support, promote and participate in Brand Republic brand extensions and developments e.g. conferences, awards, site upgrades and associated products |
