Senior editors required for innovative web project

Haymarket Network needs two senior editors for its expanding Volkswagen Group UK project.

A three-year contract extension and expansion into new areas of the business mean we need two new editors. Your job will be to run one of the seven websites that make up Desktop, which is the platform VWG UK uses to communicate with its retailer network, from Audi Centres and SEAT Dealers to Paint and Body Centres and Trade Parts Centres.

The content on the sites ranges from simple announcements of holiday office closures to new car and van launches via complex technical information and news of the latest motorsport triumphs.

The Desktop editor’s job is to make sure everything on the site is simply, concisely and engagingly written, absolutely accurate and given appropriate prominence. That means we need people with impeccable journalistic credentials. Much of the content is also produced in collaboration with VWG specialists and senior managers, so our editors also need to be able to talk to and negotiate with people at all levels of the business.

Person Specification

You will be based at the Volkswagen Group UK headquarters in Milton Keynes and in addition to the usual excellent Haymarket benefits you will have use of cars from the Volkswagen Group range – our team members are currently driving cars such as the Volkswagen Golf GTD, Audi TT and ŠKODA Yeti.
