Would you like to work as Sales Manager on one of Haymarket’s leading brands? We are looking for a strong individual achiever who can lead a sales team responsible for a large portfolio of products within the Haymarket Outdoor Leisure Group.

 

The Sales Manager of the Parks Team will have responsibility to develop and execute the strategy for all advertising sales revenues from the Parks side of the business across Practical Caravan, Practical Motorhome, Caravan Sitefinder and a number of annual guides. The Sales Manager will be an expert in their category, with an ability to build senior relationships with clients and have an ability to manage a large portfolio of products.


You will need to fully understand the financials of the magazines, and be able to write, communicate and implement sales plans with your team in order to achieve your objectives. You will need to be able to budget and forecast accurately, and strategise for not just your own client base, but for your teams as well in order to maximise revenue for the titles and website and create new opportunities and revenue streams wherever possible.

Person Specification

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and grow revenue across our print and online products.

  • Responsible for the management of the Parks sales team.

  • Headcount responsibility of 5 staff.

  • Motivate, coach and develop your team through effective leadership, regular appraisals and targeting.

  • Provide training, guidance and feedback to the team.

  • Build and solidify senior relationships with top advertisers.

  • Develop and evolve best practices for selling and building preferred partner relationships with key clients.

 

Requirements:

  • Proven record of strategic development of a dedicated client base.

  • Substantial cross platform sales experience

  • Proven track record in sales management is preferable though not essential.

  • Ability to interact with and influence product development.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills at a senior level are essential.

  • Strategic vision for industry growth to meet Haymarket’s forward strategy.
