PERSON SPECIFICATION

This vital role sits centrally to both editorial and commercial teams. It will expose the right candidate to a broad range of publishing skills ranging from writing press releases, updating the company website, completing tenders, working on business models, undertaking research and ultimately driving opportunities for key members of staff around the business to meet with potential clients.

Core Responsibilities

External Communications

·         Daily updating of the corporate site haymarketnetwork.com

·         Writing and releasing press releases

·         Twitter feeds

·         Assisting in DM campaigns and prospecting

·         Assisting in delivery of the overall marketing plan

 

Internal Communications

·         Ensuring Network news is  broadcast to the company through internal comms

·         Updating and circulating internal leads list

 

Press / Market Analysis

·         Daily press research to identify leads and trends in relevant sectors

·         Circulating insight to the team

·         Leading weekly meetings with editorial and account staff to allocate opportunities

·         Maintenance of market analysis report – sourcing info on competitor wins and losses

·         Undertaking research where requested to help with prospecting pitches and marketing

 

Pitches and Tenders

·         Supporting role in completing tenders and pitched to exacting standards

·         Collating and managing central pool of case studies and company information

·         Sourcing costs and understanding cost sheets

 

Administration of the new business budget

·         Raising work orders, assisting management of pitch budget sheets and reporting

·         Internal team co-ordination and communication

 

Person Specification

The right candidate has 1-2 years work experience in a relevant field, has great interpersonal skills, is very well organised, a lateral thinker and has excellent attention to detail as well as producing written work to a high standard.
