BRAND/TITLE DESCRIPTION

A key position within the Haymarket Project Portfolio team to manage project plans, budget and resources, delivering projects across a number of functional areas within the Haymarket Media Group. The candidate will develop and maintain a deep level of business and product knowledge that allows them to support and challenge new software development initiatives. The team’s focus is to work in partnership with the business to update the current systems and processes to providing corporate solutions that are fit for purpose.

• Full Project Lifecycle Management:
• Requirements gathering
• Process Analysis
• Customer & Supplier Management
• Risk & Issue Management
• Planning
• Change Control
• Quality & Budgetary Management
• Assist the technical management team to balance tasks across resources, including the business and third parties to optimize efficiency
• Manage, monitor and motivate the cross functional teams assigned to the project.
• Complete projects fit for purpose, on time and on budget
• Critical path and contingency planning & management
• Maintenance of IT Project Portfolio
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously in accordance with internal project management methodology/practices (often in a virtual environment)
• Adding to the continuous improvement of internal project management practices.

Skills and Experience
• Excellent communicator at all levels both verbally and in writing
• Proven ability of building trusted relationships with managers, developers, business sponsors and users at different levels within organisations and within third parties
• A minimum of 4+ years’ in Project Manager roles
• A record of delivering projects to time, costs & quality
• Proven experience in gathering and documenting Business Requirements
• Excellent client facing skills
• Negotiation and consensus building skills – with developers, customers, etc.
• Proven ability to understand business processes experience of redesigning processes would be an advantage
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential
• Virtual management
• Understanding of entire software delivery lifecycle and stakeholder relationship management.
• Thorough knowledge & experience of MS Project, an understanding of project management methodologies including Waterfall and Agile would be beneficial                              
• An understanding of leading enterprise software, associated development methodologies and industry best practice standards, would be an advantage
• An understanding of Marketing database software, development technologies and industry best practice standards would be an advantage
• Ability to extract information required from stakeholders
