PERSON SPECIFICATION

A new position to play a key role in the rebuild of the Haymarket Finance system and will be responsible for the ongoing management update and improvement of the system and processes it supports.

Responsibilities

•    Ownership of the Financial Business processes and the relationship with the Haymarket Finance System that supports them.
•    Managing the relationship between the Business needs and Finance Systems Manager to ensure that the systemsare fit for purpose
•    Co-ordinating, training and running the Super-User group within Haymarket
•    Ensuring the Super-Users are all trained when changes are made within the system
•    Evaluating Process change requests and considering the implications of the change, whether the change is necessary / possible in conjunction with Finance Systems Manager
•    Raising change requests, managing the process of change and agreeing priorities with Finance Systems Manager.
•    Co-ordinating and running  UAT with the Finance Systems Manager
•    Managing the data integrity, reconciliation and data checking.
•    Managing Reports and access to reports
•    Managing access rights and job role allocation within the system in conjunction with the Finance Systems Manager
•    Ensuring the processes are running efficiently and in-line with best practice targets defined
•    Jointly managing the relationship with the software supplier to ensure that we are aware of upgrades and new functionality available.
•    Evaluating the upgrades and functionality alongside the Finance Systems Manager as they become available
•    Producing the business case / change request for any upgrade with the Finance Systems Manager


The individual must be a self-starter with a positive attitude and high level of integrity, with the ability to work to deadlines often in a pressured environment.

Skills & Experience:

•    Excellent Communication skills
•    Fundamental understanding of financial systems and accounting processes, knowledge of Agresso v5.5.3 or v5.6 would be a significant advantage
•    A minimum of 2 years’ experience of working on finance process improvement
•    Demonstrable knowledge of Accountancy practices
•    Ability to work at a detailed level while maintaining a view of the bigger picture
•    Constructive approach with the ability and confidence to challenge at all levels
•    Capable of building strong working relationships
•    Analytical
•    Ability to construct reports and interpret them
•    Experience of delivering training, ability to design training programs would be desirable
