An experienced events manager is needed to join a busy, energetic team who run over 25 Award events a year for Haymarket Business Publications.
You will be responsible for up to 5 awards events. This is a maternity-cover contract position, with an immediate start date and with the expectation to run until May 2013.
Having experience of running Awards for a leading publishing house would be a benefit. Salary will be dependant on experience but is expected to be within the range of £23,000 - £26,000 per annum pro rata.
Candidates must have experience of being the lead events manager on a project. The candidates must be able to run an event from implementation to completion, including marketing, e-marketing, website management, processing entries, running a database of dinner bookings, selling attendance at dinner to the relevant industry sector, liaison with the hotel or venue and both internal and external meetings. The nature of the role may require some out of hours work.
A self starter with good time management, a sense of humour and the ability to work both as part of a team as well as by yourself are prerequisites. Candidates must be able to work in a highly pressurised environment and to tight deadlines.
