We are looking for a Health, Safety & Environmental Advisor to be responsible for providing practical support and advice to the Group Facilities Director and by assisting Haymarket’s operations adhere to legislation, codes of practice and the procedures developed to support our current accreditation to ISO14001 and to work towards OHSAS 18001.
Key duties will include:
a)Providing support and advice to staff and management.
b)Interpreting legislative information and translating into workable documentation.
c)Promoting and communicating a positive health and safety culture throughout the business.
d)Conducting inspections and audits of the workplace and workplace activities.
e)Carrying out DSE and other advisory consultations
f) Participating in accident/incident investigations.
g) Managing and reporting on environmental data and performance.
The successful candidate will ideally have one years' experience in a health and safety role, ideally with experience of working across a multi-sote environment and communicating with staff at all levels. The successful candidate will have a IOSH certificate or equivalent or will be working towards this currently.
