Brand/Title Description

Haymarket Creative Solutions is a dynamic in-house creativeagency that helps brands promote their products and services through market-leading Haymarket brands, including Stuff, What Hi-Fi? Sound and Vision, FourFourTwo, What Car?, Autocar and Autosport.

We’re looking for a talented video editor to create engaging video content about the latest gadgets, home entertainment kit, sportswear andcars for a long list of high-profile clients.

The ideal candidate will be as comfortable brainstorming, storyboarding and directing as filming and editing, and proficient with a broad range of equipment and software (see below for details). They will also be able to balance their creativity and technical prowess with a realistic, cost-effective and time-efficient approach to client briefs. 

The video editor will play a senior role within the team,working alongside the editor, art editor and commercial team to actively pitch for new work as well as deliver on exiting briefs. They will also liaise closely with the project management team to ensure projects are delivered on time and to budget.

Lastly, the video editor will be fully versed in the latest video techniques, equipment and opportunities, so that they can strive to continually improve the quality of the department’s video output.

Person Specification

Desired technical proficiency:

As well as being able to demonstrate a strong knowledge of relevant filming, lighting and editing techniques, the ideal candidate will be proficient in the following software:

Final Cut Pro Studio 2
Logic Studio
Adobe Photoshop CS5
Adobe After Effects CS5
Adobe Illustrator CS5
Apple Motion
Adobe Encore CS5
Apple Compressor


Terms and conditions:

Hours: 9.30am-5.30pm (plus occasional evening and weekend work as required with time of given in lieu when possible).
Holiday: 25 days per year (increasing with length of service to a maximum of 30 days).
Salary: Negotiable depending on experience.
Other: A clean driving licence and valid passport are essential.
