Haymarket Media, Inc. is seeking an experienced, creative, and results-driven sales and business development professional to drive the commercial revenue and growth of our brands with a core focus on selling digital, print, and live solutions for our McKnight's team. This position is based in our New York, NY office. 

 

Job Overview:

The B2B Account Manager position requires an entrepreneurial mindset combined with creativity and strong consultative sales skills. The successful candidate will need to build strong relationships with key decision makers across a portfolio of clients including vendors aligned to the field, technology companies, ad agencies, and other corporate clients.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Drive revenue and the commercial growth for our brands
  • Deliver accurate monthly revenue forecasts for the brand
  • Relationship-building, negotiating, and effectively pitching and closing opportunities with new and existing clients/agencies to drive revenue against targets. Generate qualified leads, establish close rate benchmarks, and continuously deliver sales results to raise the bar.
  • Manage/monitor individual activities and pipeline in Salesforce
  • Collaborate with other key departments including custom content, editorial, marketing, events/conferences, and finance

 

Skills and Requirements:

  • Experience of working in a comparable role which includes account management and face-to-face media/sponsorship sales
  • Strong understanding of clients’ business needs and resourcefulness in coming up with custom solutions to meet their challenges
  • Outstanding personal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate with a wide range of clients at all levels
  • Strong financial management skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently
  • Passion for your products and market

 

Qualifications include:

  • Minimum of 7 years’ sales experience
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Demonstrable media B2B sales experience
  • Proven track record of success driving revenue through the development of long-term strategic partnerships
  • Proficient with MS Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Proficient with Salesforce or other comparable CRM
