PRI is looking for a talented Account Manager to join our growing team.


This position, based in Paramus, NJ, is a client services leadership and project management position requiring experience in medical communications and pharmaceutical marketing. 


Job Overview:
The Account Manager (AM) is responsible for the day-to-day execution of programs associated with your assigned account. In this position you will have frequent client contact and will participate in tactical ideation and execution exercises, along with assigned AS or SAS, while ensuring that project deliverables meet time specifications and quality goals. In collaboration with your manager, you will work to see the big picture, identify key issues, and provide proactive recommendations to underscore the value of PRI service. In addition, AM will cultivate an understanding of the science and therapeutic category and applies that knowledge to the work.

In this role you will be responsible for working in collaboration with your team lead to deliver programming that is on strategy, on time, on budget and achieves optimal client satisfaction thereby encouraging business growth. The role requires the ability and willingness to collaborate with others to support positive team dynamics. 

Specific Responsibilities: 
• Build and maintain positive client relationships with a focus on achieving client tactical execution objectives 
• Ensure client expectations are met on all levels of program activity.
• Establish and maintain a strong knowledge of client organizations, products, disease states, and medical education.
• Oversee project management of all account projects with a high level working knowledge of all projects to assist in issue escalation/resolution
• Day to day management of medical communications programs 
• Complete all associated financial management tasks including, budget tracking, and reconciliation development
• Report project status on a regular basis to team lead and client as per SOP
• Direct management of junior staff (e.g. coordinator)
• Assume other duties and responsibilities not specifically outlined herein, but which are logically and properly inherent to the position and can add value

Qualifications: 
• Bachelor's degree in related field
• Minimum five (5) years medical education/communications experience (speakers’ bureau experience not applicable), preferably in an agency setting 
• Management experience strongly preferred
• Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to ever-changing scenarios
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• > 25% travel domestically
• Experience working with pharmaceutical clients required
