The Role

Haymarket is looking for a detail oriented Ad Operations Technical Executive to help coordinate the commercial team’s digital advertising requirements. The Ad Ops Technical Executive’s key responsibility is to ensure that the technical implementation of the advertising matches the sales requirements and that consistency is achieved throughout the targeting and reporting technology platforms we use.

Responsibilities

  • Provide ad technical support to the Campaign Managers

    • Troubleshoot ad creative issues

    • Troubleshoot ad discrepancy issues

    • Provide general support with any campaign delivery issues

    • Be the go to person for any campaign issues for the Campaign Managers

    • Provide trafficking support when required

 

  • Assist the Ad Ops Technical Manager with delivering new ad capabilities (programmatic, rich media formats, new targeting capabilities etc)

    • Identify new advertising requirements/opportunities

    • Define concise requirements and distribute through Haymarket’s workflow ticketing system

    • Liaise with Product Owners, the Ad Product Manager and Developers to deliver ad requirements

    • Carry out thorough testing within tight deadlines

    • Communicate progress regularly to stakeholders

 

  • Managing the Programmatic Open Exchange

    • Ensure blocklists and ad quality standards are adhered to

    • Remove poor quality ads flagged by publishers or users

    • Manage the floor prices in line with our agreed yield strategy

 

  • Support the technical implementation and administration of the Ad Server

    • Create and maintain ad targeting lists in and outside the Ad Server

    • Regular monitoring of the ad server implementation and ensuring continuity of service

    • Become the expert in the Ad Server

 

  • Deliver the ad targeting to match the sales strategy

    • Understand requirements from sales, ops, rest of business

    • Defining structure of ad targeting to deliver strategy and insight

  • Document and liaise with product managers to deliver requirements

  • Ensure ops and sales know how to target ads to achieve targeting requirements

 

  • Manage sales packages within Haymarket’s order management software

    • Create and maintain advertising packages

    • Synch packages with the Ad Server

    • Ensure accurate targeting of advertising is achieved through the Order Management Software

    • Ensure accurate mapping of products through to billing, finance and reporting functions
