To ensure agreed management information is sent to the business in a timely and accurate manner. To provide support where necessary, to resolve billing queries/issues. To support the wider finance and sales teams in sales process development and improvement.

Job Description

About the role

  • Ensure all billing is completed on a timely basis to ensure that group cash flows are maximised
  • To raise credit notes in line with company procedure in a timely and accurate manner.
  • To ensure billing controls are adhered to
  • Be responsible for the billing of non-standard accounts, ensuring they are accurately billed in accordance with the billing timetable and SLAs (manual invoicing)
  • Minimise the value of revenue accruals at each period end
  • Be aware and communicate issues that affect Credit Control and revenue reporting
  • Champion the adoption of standard process and automated billing in order to minimise errors across several of the company’s sales systems including Salesforce and Eventsforce
  • Maintain an audit trail from sales orders to billing, and from billing to revenue recognition
  • Cover the duties of the Billing Administrator as and when required
  • Ad hoc duties as required by the Group Finance Manager


Key requirements:

  • Previous billing experience in an automated environment preferable
  • Must be used to working to and achieving tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail
  • Unit 4 Business World (Agresso) or Salesforce experience an advantage
  • Sound knowledge of MS Office products
  • To be flexible and adaptable to change.
  • An excellent communicator, comfortable dealing with personnel at all levels.
  • Organised, self-disciplined and timely in handling administration associated with the job
  • Takes responsibility for own actions
  • Experience of working in a finance team
